Better Out of School Time NH (BOOST NH), a new project of SERESC
Picture this: an afterschool program where children want to be there.
They want to go to the homework club. They want to write an article for the afterschool newspaper. They want to do more than color or play the same games every day.
Picture this: an afterschool staff that wants to be there.
They participate in on-going trainings and have earned an Afterschool Credential. They are knowledgeable about school day learning and they organize a homework time that helps children recall what they have learned. They plan stimulating, enriching activities for children that expand both their school day experiences and their understanding of the world.
These are the pictures BOOST NH is painting throughout NH. With a cadre of talented consultants, BOOST NH provides comprehensive technical assistance, structured coaching and mentoring, and both basic and advanced professional development opportunities to the school-age, afterschool staff.
