Smart Boards
Smart Boards are interactive whiteboards used to help energize presentations and motivate learners. Combining the simplicity of a whiteboard with the power of a computer, the Smart Boards allows presenters to more fully engage their audiences.
The touch-sensitive display connects to a computer and digital projector to show your computer image. You can then control computer applications directly from the display, write notes in multi-colored digital ink and save your work to share later. You can also print your notes in full color to share immediately with your guests. Smart Boards are incredibly easy to use. With just a few quick tips and a few minutes practice, you’ll feel like a pro! If you can use a computer, you can use a Smart Board.
SERESC offers two types of Smart Boards:
Front projection - Works with your existing projector and computer.
Rear projection - Includes an integrated projector. Can be a mobile unit or permanent installation.
Microphones
SERESC offers a variety of different kinds of microphones:
- Wireless (lavaliere) lapel mics
- Podium (gooseneck) mics
- Ceiling mounted (for videoconferencing and videotaping)
- Desk top (for videoconferencing and videotaping)
Remote Controls
SERESC constantly strives to simplify the work of our presenters and, in doing so, we offer a number of different remote controls.
Wall-Mounted Remote Control
Located behind most of our Smart Podiums is a wall-mounted remote control, from which you can control all of the functions of the Smart Podium. This is ideal for presenters who like to move around the room as they speak. The remote is designed to be hand-held or to rest on a table, at a perfect angle for the presenter’s ease of use.
Hand-Held Remote Controls
In addition to the wall-mounted unit, SERESC offers several hand-held remote controls and communication devices for a variety of tasks:
- To drive your PowerPoint Presentation
- To open and close the window blinds
- To raise and lower the screens
- Hand held 2-way radios to quickly communicate with SERESC staff, as needed.
Smart Podiums
Many of SERESC’s conference rooms have "Smart Podiums". Our Smart Podiums incorporate a touch screen control panel, document camera, computer and a DVD/VHS. The internal computers are connected for internet access and have Microsoft Office and PowerPoint installed. SERESC’s technicians will give you a quick tutorial on how to use the Smart Podium and will be available throughout your presentation if you have any questions or technical concerns.
From the Smart Podium, presenters can use the touch screen just as they would any computer to call up PowerPoint presentations, websites, and documents. Presenters will also be able to control the microphone, presentation and background music volume, and choose which of the room’s many screens they would like to use for their presentation.

Videotaping Services
SERESC offers a variety of videotaping services. If you would like to have your conference, videoconference, meeting or other special event audio or videotaped, please contact SERESC’s sales staff.
