Autism
Autism is developmental disorder that impacts social reciprocity, behavioral flexilibity, and communication skills. Currently estimated to impact over 1% of children, Autism Spectrum Disorders are one of the most common developmental disorders in children.
SERESC offers a wide range of services for students with autism spectrum disorders. This includes individual therepists, evaluation servcies, consultation, and programming support and development. Specific consultant teams include:
SERESC's Behavioral Consulting Team supports students with a wide range of behavioral struggles related to autism spectrum disorders through assessment, consultation, and treatment.
The School-Based Psychology team works with students with autism spectrum disorders and provides evaluation and consultation services.
Additionally, the Medical-Educational Therapeutic Evaluation (METE) team provides evaluation and consultation for students with complex educational needs, including autism spectrum disorders.
Consultants from several other SERESC consulting groups offer services for students with emotional and behavioral conditions as well, including the speech and language consultants and special education consultants.
