ABOUT US

OUR HISTORY

The Southeastern Regional Education Service Center (SERESC), located in Bedford NH, has a solid history of providing quality professional development and consulting services to school districts, the New Hampshire Department of Education and other similar agencies.

SERESC’s story begins in 1974, when 14 school districts pooled their resources to establish this collaborative agency. A low‐incidence, multi‐disciplinary evaluation team was established to assist schools in evaluating students with special needs. As school district needs change and grow, SERESC’s services expand. SERESC remains on the proactive cusp of service delivery to offer not only high caliber educational practices to the children of school districts, but also event planning services, professional development services, consulting services in multiple fields, many education program services, and schooling services through its alternative high school, The Brentwood School (located in Merrimack, NH).

OUR MISSION, VISION, AND VALUES

Our mission is to inspire innovation and excellence in education and professional practice, and our vision is for helping organizations and individuals achieve their greatest potential as they learn, lead and grow. Our core values are innovation, excellence, integrity, and service.

OUR FOUNDER

Dr. Antonio Paradis served as SERESC’s Executive Director for over 20 years, until he passed away in 2010.  As Executive Director, Dr. Paradis established, developed and implemented several major initiatives that had a profound impact upon New Hampshire school districts.

The Dr. Antonio G. Paradis Scholarship Fund was established to honor the vision, leadership and dedication of Dr. Paradis to the students of SERESC’s Brentwood School in Merrimack, NH.  This competitive scholarship is awarded each year to a graduating senior of The Brentwood School who is planning to attend an institution of higher learning. Donations should be made payable to “The Dr. Antonio G. Paradis Scholarship Fund” c/o SERESC.
