Diagnostic Evaluation
The Medical Educational Therapeutic Evaluation Team draws from the other teams within SERESC to comprise a specialized interdisciplinary team that responds to the needs of students with complex challenges and diagnoses.
Service Overview
The METE Team offers evaluations, consultation, and professional development. The team for each individual case varies based on which service providers have the skills needed to answer specific evaluation questions and concerns. Reports offer a single set of integrated impressions and recommendations that are designed to be readily implemented. These services are provided directly to districts and designed to support the student, school team, and family. Referrals welcome for students ages 3-21.
Areas of expertise include: Speech, Occupational and Physical Therapy, Vision Services, Special Education, School Psychology, Orientation and Mobility, and others.

METE Services
Comprehensive Evaluations
Each evaluation is designed based on the unique questions from the school district and family and provided where the student learns and lives. Throughout each case our providers collaborate regularly to develop a single set of integrated impressions and recommendations. Our goal is to support students with complex needs by helping school staff grow their skills and work together to deliver a higher quality education. METE team evaluations will help teams understand student needs, develop and prioritize IEP goals, and improve implementation of interventions.
Areas of Practice & Consultation
Development, cognitive ability, academic skills, communication, augmentative and alternative communication (AAC), functional vision, fine motor, gross motor, and sensory processing. METE team members specialize in students intellectual & developmental disabilities, complex medical disabilities, genetic and metabolic disorders, visual impairments, and movement disorders.

“SERESC is always very responsive and provides amazing individuals to work with our students, parents, teams and administrators. The level of expertise from providers and consultants from SERESC is one that is hard to match from other organizations.”
