Andy Schneider
Chair
Andy Schneider has been a member of the SERESC Board of Directors since 2015, initially acting as a School Board representative from the Merrimack (NH) School District, and more recently as a business-focused member of the current SERESC Board. In addition to his role on the SERESC Board, Andy is a Principal SW Product Manager for Hewlett Packard Enterprise and is responsible for the whole product and service lifecycle for HPE’s GreenLake Cloud solutions. Andy has resided in Merrimack for over 50 years with his wife Shirley and has 3 adult sons.
Marge Polak
Secretary
Marge Polak has over forty years of experience in the field of education. She retired in June 2023 from SAU 15 which includes the New Hampshire school districts for the communities of Auburn, Candia and Hooksett. There she held the roles of Assistant Superintendent, Director of Student Services, and Special Education Teacher. Marge has also worked as an adjunct professor at local universities and has served on other non-profit boards in the Greater Manchester area.
Kim Royer, M. Ed.
Director
Kim Royer has been a special educator since 1993, and works for the Barrington, NH school district. Kim runs a life skills program called SNAPS (Specific Needs Alternative Programming for Students) for students with various special needs and challenges. Kim became involved with SERESC over 15 years ago through its professional development trainings and then, more recently, has continued her involvement though her service as a Board member.
Nancy Lee P. Harding, MBA.PME
Director
Nancy Harding has been a member of the SERESC Board of Directors since 2021, as a business-focused member. In addition to her role on the SERESC Board, Nancy is a retired Manager, Strategic Account Operations for the United States Postal Service (USPS), with 41 years of service. Nancy was responsible for managing a team of eleven sales professionals, who manage some of the largest USPS accounts. Nancy is an adjunct faculty member of Southern New Hampshire University and also serves on the Board of Directors for the Girl Scouts of the Green and White Mountains. Nancy has earned all of her degrees from Southern New Hampshire University, including a Bachelor’s degree, a Master’s degree with a concentration in Project Management, and is currently in a program to earn her Doctorate in Educational Leadership.
Darrell Lockwood, Ed. D.
Director
Darrell Lockwood has served as a school administrator in New Hampshire, Massachusetts and Connecticut. His roles have included Superintendent, Assistant Superintendent and Director of Professional Development. Darrell earned his Doctorate of Education in Curriculum, Instruction and Administration from Boston College. He has been a guest lecturer at the University of New Hampshire, and an adjunct faculty member at both Rivier College and Plymouth State University. He has been a board member of AASA and NHSAA and, in 2001, was named New Hampshire Superintendent of the Year.
Frank Bass, Ph.D.
Director
Dr. Bass has been involved in education for over 50 years in a broad range of roles, including as a substitute teacher, superintendent, and college professor. He holds a Ph.D. in Instructional Leadership from Boston College. A proponent of school-wide enrichment and project- based learning, Dr. Bass sees public education as an opportunity for students to navigate their way through content rich domains in search of individual pathways to self-discovery and well-being. Dr. Bass is currently retired and lives in Manchester with his wife, Judy, where they enjoy the ease of condo living and visiting their three grandchildren.
Kimberly Yarlott, CAGS
Director
Kimberly Yarlott has been an educator since 1990, beginning her career as a classroom teacher before moving into school and district leadership. She has served as Principal of Reeds Ferry Elementary School and later as Assistant Superintendent in both Merrimack and Concord, New Hampshire. Her leadership was recognized state and nationwide when she was named the 2017 New Hampshire Elementary Principal of the Year. Kimberly holds a Bachelor’s degree from the University of Massachusetts Amherst, as well as a Master’s degree and Certificate of Advanced Graduate Study from Plymouth State University. She brings to the Board a passion for public education, a collaborative spirit, and a steadfast belief in the power of schools to positively shape the lives of children and families. Outside of her professional work, Kimberly enjoys playing tennis, skiing, and gardening.
