Classification:
Independent contractor. Successful applicants must obtain their own professional liability insurance.
Qualifications:
Graduate level degree (i.e. MA, CAGS, PhD, or EdD) in school psychology or related field and NH DOE credential of School Psychologist or Associate School Psychologist and/or Licensure in NH as a psychologist. Maintenance of both credentials as well as NCSP preferred but not required. Experience in school based setting preferred, but not required.
Support Provided:
SERESC will provide technological, billing, and marketing support. The School Psychology Team Leader will provide coordination of assigned work, consultation when requested, and facilitate establishment and maintenance of professional relationships with school districts and other agencies. Additional support and materials may include administrative support and provision of supplies and material such as phone number and voicemail, access to a desk and telephone, evaluation materials, and storage space for records related to consultation cases.
Compensation:
School based psychology consultants will be paid based on hours billed through consultative services or grant supported work. SERESC will retain a percentage of billing to support associated costs.
Scope of Work:
SERESC School psychology/psychology consultants provide direct services to school districts or other related organizations in NH (and other states when appropriate through consultant’s certification or license). All services are paid through a contract between SERSEC and the organization.
The consultant’s scope of practice is guided by the limits of their credential and/or license, as well as the ethical standards and practice guidelines of their professional association, including the NASP practice model. Services can include, but are not limited to, psychoeducational evaluation of students, behavioral supports and services, school and district wide consulting, counseling, and professional development. School psychology consultants will work with students with learning disabilities, intellectual disabilities, Autism, behavioral and emotional disorders, medical disorders, other low incidence disabilities, and giftedness.
Administrative Requirements:
- Timely submission of invoices to SERESC for services completed.
- Familiarity with Office 365 applications and compliance with the SERESC.
- Technology Compliance Checklist & Statement of Assurance.
- Compliance with all standards around license/credentialling, liability insurance, client and SERESC policies, and other requirements identified in consultant contracts.
